I’ve talked about wardrobe essentials in a previous post and of course the ones that were mentioned there are not the only classic and timeless pieces a woman should own. Another one is the camel coat, a very elegant piece that can be worn in numerous occasions and with different outfits. You can wear it over your business suit, over jeans and knits (like here) or even over a dress or pencil skirt to go out at night and it will always blend in. I bought this one several years ago and it still looks stylish, while doing a very good job at keeping me warm!

Coat, shoes and bag: Zara
Knit sweater: Shetland
Jeans: Harley Davidson
Belt and leather gloves: Vintage
Hat: bought locally

Face: Rainbow matt finish make up, Benefit booing concealer, Elf complexion perfection
Eyes: Elf mineral e/s in golden and glamorous, L’Oreal retractable eyeliner in brown, Korres black eyeliner, Max Factor masterpiece max mascara in black/brown
Cheeks: Elf contouring blush and bronzing powder
Lips: Mac creme de nude lipstick, Exclusive elegance double lipgloss

I would very much like to invest in a cashmere camel coat. Would you invest in such a piece?

I was going to go with “Cape fear” (like the movie) but it sounded too serious. And there’s nothing frightening about this cape (or me I hope, haha). So, about the whole cape trend which was so big this season, what do you think? Did you embrace it? I was kind of in between, because although I love seeing it on other people I’m not used to wearing it. I borrowed this cape from my mother and I thought I could skip buying one for myself. I don’t see this trend lasting for a long time, but if I’m wrong, I can still buy one next year. I would go for the belted type, which seems to be more my style.

This outfit is blog unworthy, and I do apologize for the lack of effort and imagination! It was one of those days when you have to do a million things and you grab whatever feels comfy and warm. Although I wasn’t very successful on the second part I must admit!
I have to thank you all for leaving me such sweet comments every day. It makes me feel so honoured and you really make my day with your kind words. It also makes me feel a sense of responsibility and that's why I want to do my best every day to live up to your expectations! I promise to do better in the next post... ;)

I did my eye make up later in the day (in my car!), and I just took a picture of it. Do you ever do your make up in your car? Not while driving though I hope...!
