Stelios Koudounaris showcased his new collection for Fall/Winter 2012-13 this Saturday night. We saw a mixture of textures, all beautifully layered to create liquid silhouettes. He remained consistent to his usual greys and blacks, but this time there were also some burgundy-reds and muted golds. I loved quite a few of those muted golds as well as the see through details and the different lengths all blended together, following the shape of the body.
The men’s line was also very appealing, especially the textured knits and the jackets.
What I most like and admire in Stelios’ creations is that they are instantly recognizable. He has a specific style and identity that he remains faithful to and that’s a very important element for a designer. Without repeating himself, he manages to evolve and present something new every time, that still is utterly and totally “Stelios Koudounaris”!
Last but not least, the amazing shoes were Jeffrey Cambell and the fringed accessories by Anna K.

Thursday night, ABSOLUT Vodka in conjuction with three Greek fashion designers, Stelios Koudounaris, Sotiris Georgiou and Digitaria, presented a fashion event at Dream City club in Athens. The occasion being the launch of ABSOLUT's limited edition bottle "Absolut Mode", the three designers presented parts of their collections through the reflections of Absolut Mode. It was a multimedia fashion performance, staged by Memi Koupa under the DJ's Apostolos Mitropoulos chosen tunes.
Due to picture overload, I've split the post in two parts.
I will start by Stelios Koudounaris collection, which impressed me once again. I loved all the dresses and the way they were presented. The models started with the usual walk down the runway (but in a rather fast pace) and at the end they all appeared wearing the beautiful maxi see-through dress and carrying roughly-cut mirrors in their hands, which they waved in front of all of us. It was very impressive as the mirrors reflected the spot lights and various images from the audience and the models.

I LOVE this dress!!!

Gorgeous jacket!!!

I could simply say OMG, WOW, YAY etc, but I can be a lot more eloquent than that! The favorite shoes of fashion bloggers all over the world and of countless celebrities are finally in Athens, at Favela for Jeffrey Campbell (Kolonaki, Skoufa 64). Last night I attended the opening party and I got to see the gorgeous shoes up-close. I fell in love with almost everything at the store!
The party was great. Shaya, Mark F. Angelo and Otherview performed live and they were fantastic.
Stelios Koudounaris was also there, whose gorgeous designs can be found at Favela. Last but not least, the jewelry designer Ma Li Ya created a line of earrings and necklaces especially for the occasion.
