Summer Lookbook 2013

Hello my lovely scarlets, how have you been? Did you go on vacation? I did and it was so nice. I spent my summer holidays at Chania, as most summers of my life (I was born there also) and had an amazing time. I managed to film a few outfits so I made a video on my youtube channel for you to see. I have a few photos as well, which I will post here and I'd love it if you would see the video and tell me what you think about the outfits.

Γειά σας scarlets μου, τι κάνετε; Πήγατε διακοπούλες; Εγώ πήγα και ήταν τόσο ωραία. Έκανα τις διακοπές μου στα Χανια, όπως τα περισσότερα καλοκαίρια της ζωής μου (επίσης έχω γεννηθεί εκεί) και πέρασα εξαιρετικά. Κατάφερα να βιντεοσκοπήσω μερικά outfits και έφτιαξα ένα βίντεο για το κανάλι μου στο youtube. Έχω και μερικές φωτογραφίες, τις οποίες θα ποστάρω εδώ, αλλά θα ήθελα πολύ να δείτε το βίντεο και να μου πείτε τη γνώμη σας για τα outfits.

This is the 4rth look on my lookbook and it's my favorite. I love this car and I wish it was mine! But remember this: don't be surprised if someday you see me strolling the streets with a classic beauty like this. It's my dream to buy a classic vintage car, even older than this one (which is a 1973 Triumph MK3) and I believe I will....someday! 

Αυτό είναι το 4ο look στο lookbook μου και είναι το αγαπημένο μου. Λατρεύω αυτό το αυτοκίνητο και θα ήθελα πολύ να είναι δικό μου! Αλλά να θυμάστε αυτό: μην παραξενευτείτε αν κάποια μέρα με δείτε να κυκλοφορώ με ένα κλασικό κομμάτι σαν αυτό. Είναι το όνειρό μου να αγοράσω ένα κλασικό vintage αυτοκίνητο, ακόμα πιο παλιό από αυτό (το οποίο είναι ένα Triumph MK3 του 1973) και πιστεύω οτι θα το καταφέρω...κάποτε!

Modern Rockabilly

Hello lovelies,

How have you been? 

This blog started as a personal style blog, where I was posting my outfits and make up. Lately I'm mostly blogging about fashion events, giveaways, youtube videos etc. I like it that the content has more diversity now, but the truth is that I've missed doing an outfit post. It's so much fun to dress up and take photos on public places, with people looking at you as if you are doing something very odd. 

So, I put on my pin up make up and my favorite pair of Levi's jeans with a lovely denim Levi's vest and off I went for the shooting!

Πώς τα περνάτε; 

Αυτό το blog ξεκίνησε ως personal style blog όπου έκανα αναρτήσεις σχετικά με τα outfits και το μακιγάζ μου. Τελευταία, κάνω posts για fashion events, giveaways, βίντεο στο youtube κανάλι μου κλπ. Μου αρέσει που υπάρχει πλέον μεγαλύτερη ποικιλία στο περιεχόμενο, αλλά η αλήθεια είναι πως μου είχαν λείψει τα outfit posts. Είναι πολύ διασκεδαστικό να φοράς ένα ιδιαίτερο outfit και να φωτογραφίζεσαι σε δημόσιους χώρους, όπου ο κόσμος σε κοιτάει λες και κάνεις κάτι πραγματικά αξιοπερίεργο. 

Έτσι, έκανα ένα pin up μακιγιάζ και φόρεσα το αγαπημένο μου Levi's τζηνάκι με ένα υπέροχο, επίσης Levi's, γιλέκο και πήγα για τη φωτογράφηση!

Celebrity Skin Xclusive Make Up Rehearsal (Mercedes Benz Athens Xclusive Designers Week 2013)

Yesterday afternoon I attended (at Sephora in Ermou) the Make up rehearsal for the Celebrity Skin runway show that will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Athens Xclusive Designers Week on the 1st of April. The make up was done by Emmanouil Apostolakis, Head Make up Artist for Make up Forever in Greece. For me the process was especially interesting, because as most of you know I'm a Make up Artist myself.

The concept for the make up is pale skin and nude lips with intense, graphic eyeliner. The look is complete with Celebrity skin's beautiful masks-beanies, which accentuate the dramatic eyes and create an edgy, almost gothic style! 

Χθες το απόγευμα παρακολούθησα (στα Sephora στην Ερμού) την επίσημη πρόβα μακιγιάζ για το show των Celebrity Skin, που θα παρουσιαστεί στην Mercedes-Benz Athens Xclusive Designers Week την 1η Απριλίου. Το μακιγιάζ επιμελήθηκε ο επικεφαλής Make up artist της Make Up Forever στην Ελλάδα, Εμμανουήλ Αποστολάκης. Η διαδικασία ήταν ιδαιτέρως ενδιαφέρουσα για εμένα, καθώς όπως οι περισσότεροι γνωρίζετε είμαι και η ίδια Make up Artist. 

Το concept για το μακιγιάζ είναι χλωμό δέρμα και άχρωμα χείλη, με έντονο γραμμικό eyeliner. Το look αυτό ολοκληρώνεται με τα πανέμορφα σκουφάκια-μάσκες των Celebrity skin, τα οποία τονίζουν τα έντονα-δραματικά μάτια και δημιουγούν ένα ιδιαίτερο, σχεδόν gothic στυλ.

Here's the process step by step:

Starting with MUFE's Face and Body fountation
Ξεκινά με το Face and Body fountation της MUFE

On to the eyes to create the graphic eyeliner
Μετά πηγαίνει στα μάτια για να δημιουργήσει το γραμμικό eyeliner

Tools of the trade!
Τα απαραίτητα εργαλεία!

Adding some matte white eyeshadow
Προσθέτει μια λευκή ματ σκιά

Nude but creamy lipstick
Άχρωμο, αλλά κρεμώδες κραγιόν

Adding dark contouring to the jaw line and neck
Προσθέτει σκούρα σκίαση στην κάτω γνάθο και το λαιμό

And some brown eyeshadow to set the contouring
Και λίγη καφέ σκιά για να σεταριστεί η σκίαση
