Today the weather was magnificent, so I set out to go to the city centre for some shopping, visit a few thrift stores etc. I took the train because it’s almost impossible to park near Syntagma square, especially on a Saturday morning. On the way I started to feel a bit lightheaded and dizzy. It got worse and as soon as I left the train station I started feeling like I was about to faint. So I thought I should get back because I was in no condition to walk or do any shopping whatsoever. I got in a cab and told the driver to take me to my destination as soon as possible because I wasn’t feeling well. He said “with a woman like you I would even go to hell”!!! I ignored his remark and said please lets go, I feel very dizzy, but he continued and suggested that we go for a coffee so I will feel better and started asking me what’s my name, what I do for living, where I live etc.
OMG, was that guy for real? There I was, almost about to faint and he was hitting on me!!!
I had no choice but to get out and grab another taxi to take me home. Fortunately the other driver was no casanova!

In case you’re wondering I feel better now and I’m guessing my blood pressure dropped and/or my iron levels must be very low again, that’s why I felt so dizzy and weak. So I’ll have to start taking iron supplements all over again!

I can finally reveal a few things about the “secret project”, that you’ve heard me (or read me) going on for some time now. My photos today were taken in a studio, but not just any studio: my brother and I are proud to present the “Close Up Photography Studio”!
As most of you know, my brother is a professional Photographer and I’m a Make up Artist, so we finally decided to have a place of our own. He has the major part in this whole project of course, but I also have a make up room to do my part of the job and I’m absolutely thrilled! The first photo is taken in the make up room (my own “heaven”) and the second is taken in the lounge. The rest are taken in the studio. Not all rooms are completely ready yet, but the place is ready to function.
So now, you can understand why I was tired all the time, but the whole thing is totally worth it!!!

The title is a verse from Adele’s song “Rolling in the deep” which is my current favorite. I like the video clip as well and I’d love to recreate parts of it for a photo shoot, but I’m afraid it would create a huge mess and who would want to clean that up? (not me!). ;)
The weather is getting warmer finally and I really hope that we’re heading for spring.
I’m wearing red lipstick again, although in a different shade from yesterday’s post. I love this NYX lipstick but it’s a real pain to wear it in your everyday life. I call this type of lipsticks “the photo shoot lipsticks”, because they look awesome, but they stain everything, your coffee cup, your cigarette and eventually your fingers (or your sweater if you're not careful)! They stain less when powdered, but I prefer the glossy effect. Nevertheless, I prefer them, over the long-stay ones. The latter tend to dry the lips and although they don’t transfer, they don’t look so good after a few hours.

This winter there were lots of maxi dresses and skirts, a trend that will continue for some time as it seems. But another style was also shown in many spring collections (as well as in FW 2011-12 runway shows): the midi length. We saw the form fitting midi skirts inspired from the 40’s, the flared style inspired from the 50’s and also the more bohemian 70’s style skirts.
Although many women fear that the midi can be unflattering, I believe that when styled properly and with the right pair of shoes, it can look very chic and feminine.
I rediscovered this 40’s style dress in my closet and I’m happy that I can finally start wearing it again. And I love the fact that it can be worn in many ways and it can also double as a light coat!

(forgive the grey nail polish, which is not at all retro, but I did my nails yesterday and couldn't be bothered to do them again today!)

What are your plans for the weekend? And to my lovely Greek readers, are you planning to go to any costume parties?

Well, just for a day that is! I’m so sorry, but I couldn’t possibly post anything yesterday. I was working until late and by the time I finished I didn’t have any photos to post (couldn’t even find the strength to type, to be exact!). I think I might bend the rules a bit: for the days I can’t photograph my outfits due to work load or other unforeseeable reasons, I will post a collage from pollyvore or something like that. Lets hope I won’t have to resort to that solution, but posting something is better than nothing I suppose!
In that context, just a simple and quick outfit post for today and nothing special make up wise...
