Last Wednesday, I was invited to attend Levi’s press event for the presentation of their fall collection for 2012. It was a hot summer night and I have to admit I was not so eager to leave my sweet - air conditioned - home, but I’m glad I did! The event was held at Balthasar bar-restaurant, a lovely neoclassical building with a beautiful garden.
The fall collection consists of jeans, plaid shirts, denim jackets, T-shirts and lots of casual clothing, but not just that. There are colored jeans for men, lovely denim dresses for women and tops and blouses made from soft fabrics in rich colors, very girlie and romantic. So the collection is still within the spirit of Levi’s, but with a twist!
I was also impressed by the Commuter series for men. It’s a collection for the urban cyclist. So no more lycra pants guys! Now you can ride your bikes in stylish Levi’s jeans and you will not get soaked if it rains (they are waterproof), or feel uncomfortable on the saddle. This series is designed to provide functionality, comfort and of course style!
At the event there was also a live performance by singer Panayotis Tsakalakos, winner of Greek Idol 2011 and a party afterwards, with finger food and cocktails!
