Models only agency organized a fashion show to celebrate its 2 year anniversary. The fashion show was held in Villa Mercedes club in Athens and the designers that participated were:
Celebrity Skin, Miltos, Ourania Kay, Jeans, Panos Apergis, Konstantinos Mtrovgenis, Lila Nova, Christina Skarpeli, Tammy Archive, Eirini Lytra-Routzeraki, Beloved, Yura Tsu, Maria Tagalou.
Parts of the show below:

(from left to right) George Theodoropoulos hairdresser, Me, Tasos from Posh Fashion, Lorraine Eyre from Greek Reporter, Tzeni Oikonomou stylist from "Τα ρούχα του Βασιλιά".

The place that the event was held was totally inappropriate for a fashion show, which means that we couldn't take as many photos as we'd like and that from where we were seated we had to strain our necks just to watch the show. At least we saw some beautiful designs and we had good company!

Continuing with the other two designers that took part in the Absolut Mode Nights event, Sotiris Georgiou, showed pieces from his menswear and womenswear collection and the theme was the rain. The models appeared holding umbrellas and "playing" with them, while the huge screen below the DJ showed videos of heavy rain. At the end, all the models lined in front of the screen and it was as if they were standing in the rain!

Designer Digitaria, showed clothes for men and women as well and the models appeared in pairs, standing opposite each other while their foreheads touched. Then, they stood in front of the audience, and at the end all the pairs did the same formation. They all had nude make up and the outfits were all black.
Bear in mind that the lighting in these two shows was minimum, so it was very difficult to produce good photographs!

Thursday night, ABSOLUT Vodka in conjuction with three Greek fashion designers, Stelios Koudounaris, Sotiris Georgiou and Digitaria, presented a fashion event at Dream City club in Athens. The occasion being the launch of ABSOLUT's limited edition bottle "Absolut Mode", the three designers presented parts of their collections through the reflections of Absolut Mode. It was a multimedia fashion performance, staged by Memi Koupa under the DJ's Apostolos Mitropoulos chosen tunes.
Due to picture overload, I've split the post in two parts.
I will start by Stelios Koudounaris collection, which impressed me once again. I loved all the dresses and the way they were presented. The models started with the usual walk down the runway (but in a rather fast pace) and at the end they all appeared wearing the beautiful maxi see-through dress and carrying roughly-cut mirrors in their hands, which they waved in front of all of us. It was very impressive as the mirrors reflected the spot lights and various images from the audience and the models.

I LOVE this dress!!!

Gorgeous jacket!!!

Last night I attended the press event for the "Fashion pastry project" of Max Perry Handmade chocolates with Orsalia Parthenis. This project involves a very “sweet” collaboration as you can understand. The Greek company Max Perry, in association with ALLY, PR & Marketing company came to a very innovative concept: the creation of a chocolate Boutique!
In collaboration with Orsalia Parthenis, who took inspiration from her Bridal collection, a special series of chocolates was created. Mrs Parthenis designed 6 different women’s silhouettes (which were inspired by 6 of her beautiful wedding gowns), playing with the contrast of dark, white and milk chocolate.
The fashion pastry show will be available at the Max Perry stores from mid December till the end of January 2012.
The event was held at Galaxy bar in Hilton and it was lovely. There was chocolate everywhere and I really wanted to taste every single piece. I restrained myself to only two, which were delicious!

(Make up all Mac, Face: Studio sculpt foundation, Select sheer pressed powder, Eyes: Melon pigment, Embark eyeshadow, Gesso eyeshadow, Coco bar liquidlast liner, Zoom lash mascara, Cheeks: Blushbaby, Belightful iridescent pressed powder, Lips: Stripdown pencil, Social light lipglass)

(Cardigan: H&M, Blouse: Nili Lotan, Trousers: Boohoo, Shoes: New Look, Clutch: Vintage, Watch: ASOS, Bangles: random)

Oops! Caught in the act!

Last night I was invited to attend Swarovski's press event for their Spring-Summer collection 2012. The theme of the event was Swing and I couldn't be more happy to dress for "the part"! After all, you know how much I love period make up and fashions. So, I wore  a 40's style dress and a pair of beautiful Miu Miu T-bar mary janes, that look very retro. I put on my favorite Russian Red Mac lipstick (with Mac Cherry lipliner) and did a classic winged eyeliner. As for my hair, my short haircut didn't leave me much choice, so I just used a few rollers to create some curls and styled it in a late 40's - 50's way (sort of!).

The Swarovski collection was fantastic. I especially loved the skull pendants and accessories (which were actually part of the Men's collection) and the sunglasses. And of course all the embelished clutches were gorgeous. We were also given a beautiful pen with a clear cap that inside was filled with Swarovski crystals (pink for the girls and blue for the boys!), which also opens and contains a usb, with all the press material. I always appreciate a usb, especially when it comes in such a lovely package!

There were also two couples of Lindy hop dancers (swing dance) who danced beautifully!
