Some people don’t like Sundays. Maybe it’s because it’s the last day of the weekend and we know we’ll be working the next day. But I do like Sundays, especially when the weather is warm and sunny and I get to out to eat by the sea and then chill out at a café. I stupidly forgot to take my camera with me but I managed to have a couple of photos taken with my i-phone. The only thing I didn’t like is how crowded all the cafés were and the extremely loud music. I mean, I’m by the sea, drinking my cappuccino freddo, I’d prefer some nice lounge music instead of all those mainstream beats played aloud. If I want to dance I’ll go to a club and not to a café, right?!

Today the weather was magnificent, so I set out to go to the city centre for some shopping, visit a few thrift stores etc. I took the train because it’s almost impossible to park near Syntagma square, especially on a Saturday morning. On the way I started to feel a bit lightheaded and dizzy. It got worse and as soon as I left the train station I started feeling like I was about to faint. So I thought I should get back because I was in no condition to walk or do any shopping whatsoever. I got in a cab and told the driver to take me to my destination as soon as possible because I wasn’t feeling well. He said “with a woman like you I would even go to hell”!!! I ignored his remark and said please lets go, I feel very dizzy, but he continued and suggested that we go for a coffee so I will feel better and started asking me what’s my name, what I do for living, where I live etc.
OMG, was that guy for real? There I was, almost about to faint and he was hitting on me!!!
I had no choice but to get out and grab another taxi to take me home. Fortunately the other driver was no casanova!

In case you’re wondering I feel better now and I’m guessing my blood pressure dropped and/or my iron levels must be very low again, that’s why I felt so dizzy and weak. So I’ll have to start taking iron supplements all over again!

Haha, not literally! The only sad story I have to tell is about my tights. As for not posting yesterday, I had to go to a friend’s name-day gathering and came home late and blah, blah, blah you know the story! But I was a good girl and took some pics of my outfit before I left home.
Well, anyway, about the tights: I’ve had these for a while and never got around to wearing them. So yesterday I decided it was about time I wore them. And I did. I had a lovely time at my friends house, we ate, we laughed, I got some compliments about my tights and then I came home. And as I was getting undressed....@#$%^^#&! My nail got caught and I ripped the tights!!! Darn it, and I only wore them once. At least they were not expensive (if they were a pair of Wolfords there would be tears involved, lol!). So, adios my dear tights, it was good while it lasted... :-P

The correct title would be “New in”, but I thought I’d change it a bit since I have been making some purchases lately and I don’t want to use the same title over and over again. My excuse is: I’m a shopaholic (who me? naaa!).
OK, I have a better excuse: early birthday presents...to myself!
So I finally got around to buying a new pair of sunnies. Over the past few years my sunglasses were constantly getting smashed (a total of 3 lovely pairs ruined, and not by me!), which has left me with only one pair, my Rayban aviators that you’ve seen me wearing many times. At last I decided to “cast out the evil” that’s been haunting my poor sunglasses and buy a new pair. I really hope these ones will have a better fate. Knock on wood!
Anyway, I wanted a pair of Wayfarers for a while now and so I got this pair from the “Rare prints” collection, which has a black frame with a super cute button pins print on the inside. I absolutely adore them. I will take some close up photos and post them tomorrow.

I have a crafty/DIY question: these over-the-knee socks are too tight on my legs (the elastic part). Do you think I could cut the elastic band? But then I don’t know what will hold them in place. Have you had this problem with over-the-knee socks?

Not exactly new since you’ve seen me wearing these jeans here, but I didn’t properly introduce them to you then, so I might as well do it now. I’ve been given this pair of jeans as a gift, which I was very happy to receive. Their cut is something between a bootcut and a flare, and that makes them very versatile and does not constrict you to wear them in a certain way (as for example with the flares/bel bottoms, where a 70’s or bohemian styling is more appropriate) . I paired them with a new knit sweater that I got in sales, which is very warm and I love it’s lovely electric blue color.

Cheeks: Coastal scents 26 color palette
Lips: NYX lipstick in Paris

I needed to have the jeans shortened but I made the mistake of wearing them with shoes with a much smaller heel and they came out too short for my liking. So I unstiched the hem and now they’re much better. Although I wouldn’t mind a few more centimeters, but it has already been cut! :(

Ok, the title is random cause it’s late and I can’t think of anything better. Come to think of it it’s not so random since I actually burnt my hand (you can see the mark on my hand at the 4th photo) with the toaster!!! I’m so clumsy sometimes that I’m dangerous to myself, haha!
I hope it won’t leave a scar, I hate scars. But I do like them on men. Don’t you find it kind of sexy when a man has a small scar above his eyebrow or on his chin, like Harrison Ford for example? I have weird tastes I guess... ;)

I want to buy a few things from an American market (that’s how we call our thrift shops). You can find some great pieces there sometimes. Do any of you lovely greek ladies (or gents) know of any good ones in Athens?

The question is not about the outfit. It’s just that I’d like your feedback on something. Lately I’ve been wondering weather I should or shouldn’t reply to comments. Please don’t take this the wrong way and think that I’m starting to act like a Diva (!), I don’t mean that I will ignore your comments. I mean that maybe I should just visit your blogs and leave my comments to your posts (which I already do most of the times).
The reasons I started to think about this, are:
  1. the fact that my schedule doesn’t always allow me to reply to comments, even though I always read them and I totally appreciate every single one!
  2. when I leave a comment at a post, I don’t have the time to return to that post and check if there is a reply. And to be honest I don’t need to. They only thing I’d like in return is for the blogger to stop by my blog and leave me a comment too.
So, what do you think? Isn’t it a double trouble to reply to comments in your own post? Because then the person that left you the comment has to come back to your post AGAIN and read your reply. And if you didn’t have the time to reply the next day, how is that person to know when you will reply? So they’d have to come back to your post over and over again. And we all know how little time we have to do our blog reading!
I’ve come to the conclusion that the most honest, kind and correct way to deal with this (imo) is to stop by your commenters’ blogs and leave them a comment in return. And if someone asks you something in a comment, you can reply to them in their post (so they’ll definitely see it). Many bloggers do that and I think it works.
I hope I’m making sense here and I sincerely wish that you will continue to leave your comments. And be sure that I’ll be stopping by your blogs, because I like them and not because I have to!!!

Yesterday I was supposed to go to the first day of AXDW (Athens Exclusive Designers Week). I had my outfit already planned in my head, an early appointment at the hairdresser and as soon as I would be back from a work related thing, I would be off to the shows. But...you can’t always plan ahead. Not when work is involved. Bummer! And I really wanted to go, especially on Saturday. And my hair was looking so lovely... :(
Anyway, as it seems I’m not going to make it to any of the shows, because work always comes first, doesn’t it?!

Well, I didn’t buy the whole collection...just in case the title mislead you! Just one pair, in a lovely blue color, because as I was deciding on the color, I realized I don’t own any pants in blue. I think this particular style runs big size-wise, because I got it in 34 (which is the XS) and it’s still very loose fitting. Overall it’s a great bargain (at 9.95€)!

As promised, here is the second post. In this outfit (from the waist up) I feel like a female version of Marlon Brando in the movie “The wild one”. He played the character of an outlaw biker, wearing a perfecto jacket, a white T-shirt with jeans and boots and a tilted hat, a style that later became an iconic image. Perfecto style jackets and biker boots are still in fashion.
This outfit has some elements of the biker style with the addition of a faux fur scarf and the high heeled peep toe ankle boots, to make it a bit more feminine.

Jacket: Boohoo
T-shirt: old, unknown brand
Jeans: Bershka
Ankle boots: Linzi shoes
Faux fur scarf: DIY
Hat: Jumbo
Ring: H&M

Face: Rainbow matt finish make up, Mac full coverage (as concealer), Elf complexion perfection
Eyes: Elf single e/s in Amethyst, Black e/s from NYX smokey eyes palette, Korres black eyeliner, Max Factor masterpiece max mascara in black/brown
Cheeks: Elizabeth Arden palette
Lips: Elf all over color stick in Pink lemonade and elf glossy lipshine

Do you like the biker style?
