I was totally being a good girl and resisting the online summer clearance sales, but then I see the Asos.com newsletter and decide to do a little "window shopping"! I come accross this beautiful one shoulder dress with a lovely bird print by Vero Moda and it's less than 8€! I bought it right away!

Then I started looking about a watch because lately I am obsessing over the Michael Kors rose gold watches, but I stumble upon this gorgeous watch that is only 12€ and tell me who can resist that price??? I still want the Michael Kors watch, but for now I'm pretty satisfied with this one!

Last but not least, another bargain that I snatched was this patent saddle bag, that can also double as a clutch since the straps are detachable. I want to add some color to my bag collection, because it's mostly blacks, browns and neutrals. This blue is perfect for color blocking...

Oh, and as I was taking these photos Loulou was watching me, and wondering what on earth I'm doing!

Unfortunately all these lovely things are out of stock now and I apologize for not posting this sooner, but I only got my order from Asos today. Keep searching the site though, I'm sure you'll find something you like (if not everything). Oh, and did I mention the Free Worlwide shipping???!

I took my vacation back in July so I spent most of August here in Athens. And I can’t say I didn’t like it. The city was almost empty, which meant no traffic jams, better service at the cafes and restaurants and calmer atmosphere! I really don’t appreciate crowded beaches and taverns packed with all kinds of people, and that’s exactly how it is in most greek islands during August. So, even though I didn’t get the chance to go to the beach as much as I wanted, I managed to have a good time here and enjoy what this city has to offer.
And a new passion came into my life: photography! I suddenly felt the need to take my camera and start taking pictures. I guess the scenery inspired me or the fact that I was feeling calm and relaxed. I’m on the hunt for a good DSLR, because my compact is a great disappointment. I’m lucky to have my brother to help me find a camera and teach me a thing or two...
Meanwhile, I started experimenting with my old Canon EOS 3000N Film SLR Camera. It’s so much more difficult to take decent photos with a film camera, because you have no clue what you’ve captured (at least I don’t!) until you have your film developed - and by then it’s too late. You don’t have the chance to see your photo right away and re-shoot if you don’t like it. And there's also the fact that they have to be scanned. But using a film camera is the perfect way to master the art of photography and I intend to improve my skills (if I have any!).
Anyway, it was fun and the outcome is not as terrible as I thought it would be. What do you think about my first photoshoot?

P.S.1: In the photos with the watermellon and with the bottle you can see a bit blurry the view from my balcony!
P.S.2: This is a stray dog that I saw one day on my way home and I just had to take his picture!

That’s how I could describe the color of the top I’m wearing. Which is actually a lovely asymmetrical skirt, that has never been worn as one. Because see-through is fine for a top, but a no no for a skirt. Come to think of it I could try wearing it with a lace petticoat underneath, that would give it a nice touch don’t you think?
I have been loving bright and neon colors lately and I think that I’ll keep wearing them during the fall season too. Austere blacks and browns without any hint of color make me feel depressed at the moment, but maybe it’s because of the weather. Maybe I’ll have a change of heart come winter. I’m notorious for my mood swings after all...

My name is Arietta and I'm a shoeaholic! Oh, the shoes... It's like I'm drawn to them by some force of nature that I cannot explain. No matter how many I own, I still need more... But enough is enough, I have to take a positive turn in my life and start making some changes. So, after deep soul searching and meditation, I finally came to the conclusion that...I need more designer shoes!!! Haha, fooled you din't I?

This video made me realise that most of my summer shoes are high street. And let's face it: it's so tempting to get 3 or 4 pairs of those lovely and affordable shoes instead of saving up for 1 pair of designer footwear. Even though you know that they will not be as comfortable or as glamorous as the latter. The truth lies somewhere in the middle I believe. I don't want to become one of those people who wear nothing but designer clothing and accessories. I mean, if Kate Moss wears Zara, who am I to snub it?!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my video and find it useful in regards to storage ideas.

Oh, and guess who else wants to wear my shoes!

I hope you liked my video (and clicked on the "like" button!) and I am already planning to do a couple more very soon!

I hope this post finds you enjoying your summer vacation somewhere and not in the city like me. My holidays are unfortunately over (I spent 10 days in Crete) and now I’m “boiling” in the city. At least I live near the sea and I also have friends who have summer houses near some lovely beaches, so I visit them whenever I get the chance.
I’ve been meaning to do a post about the Color Blocking trend for a while now. I love bold, vivid colors and especially when 2 or 3 colors are worn in the same outfit. Isn’t it strange, how the trends make us see things? I mean, if color blocking wasn’t a huge trend, many people would think that wearing green, yellow and blue together makes you look like a parrot! But then again many people may still not know what “Color blocking” is and think that combining more than 2 colors is tacky. I'm glad I’m not one of those people...

So, what do you think about orange with fuchsia? Likey or not likey?
