I’ve talked about wardrobe essentials in a previous post and of course the ones that were mentioned there are not the only classic and timeless pieces a woman should own. Another one is the camel coat, a very elegant piece that can be worn in numerous occasions and with different outfits. You can wear it over your business suit, over jeans and knits (like here) or even over a dress or pencil skirt to go out at night and it will always blend in. I bought this one several years ago and it still looks stylish, while doing a very good job at keeping me warm!

I would very much like to invest in a cashmere camel coat. Would you invest in such a piece?

It’s funny how some clothes or accessories have a history of their own. This tartan scarf is almost as old as I am and I can’t even remember if I ever wore it when I was little. The only thing I remember about it is that we used it to cover the piano keys (I used to take piano lessons when I was a kid). I don’t know why the poor scarf had been condemned to such a fate! When we gave the piano away I decided to keep the scarf and have been saving it in my closet ever since. I think it was about time that little old scarf saw the light of day...

Today I was in such a hurry that I didn’t place my tripod correctly, so I cut off a bit of hair here and a bit of shoe there, lol!

I like my blacks but I also like color. Strong and bright color, like fuschia. Yesterday I wore it as a lipstick, today I needed a much stronger dose of it. I’m wearing a long knit I got a few years back from Bershka, which I adore, if only it didn’t make me look so fat! So I put my old Moschino coat on top to hide the bulkiness. Completed the look with a pair of bright pink socks and a matching pashmina and off I was to buy a few things for my house. I ended up buying nothing, but I enjoyed looking. Next time I’ll visit IKEA and maybe I’ll be more lucky...

I was supposed to go to a gig tonight where my friend Paul would play (the guitar) along with his blues band. And he also told me I would sing a song with him if I showed up. I feel so bad for not going but my feet are killing me from all the running around. I promised him that next time they have a gig I’ll be there because I really miss singing...

If you are reading this, then I guess you know that the blog has “moved” and here we are, at our new “home”!
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it again, but I have a huge scarf collection. Most of them are vintage, given to me by my mom and grandma. Plenty of them are not even silk or expensive, but they have beautiful colors and prints. I love scarves, they are a very elegant addition to an outfit and there’s so much you can do with them. You can even tie them at your wrist, or wear them as belts.
The one I’m wearing here has a nice print, which could be a mixture between Versace and Burberry! It has a flaw, but when you wrap it around your neck, you can easily hide it!

Jacket: Zara
Sweater: Zara
Scarf: vintage
Jeans: Harley Davidson
Shoes: Tango shoes (bought from a dance school)
Socks: Calzedonia

Face: Elf complexion perfection powder
Eyes: Korres black eyeliner, Avon super extend mascara

Do you wear scarves and how?
