I mixed a few patterns in today’s outfit but these patterns are so subtle that from a distance are barely noticeable. Except from the sweater’s fair isle pattern that stands out, the trousers have a very small plaid pattern and the shirt has vertical stripes which are in a light blue color. Mixing patterns can be disastrous if we’re not careful. However, with subtle patterns like these you can’t go wrong, especially in tones of grey or neutral colors...

Knit sweater: H&M

We’ve seen some street styles with rather extravagant mixing of patterns and textures (especially during Fashion Week). Do you like that or do you think it’s only suitable for fashion editorials?
