Yesterday I went to Benaki Museum with the intention of seeing "Aesop's Fables", an exhibition of contemporary paintings and engravings (inspired by the fables). But I didn't actually get to see the exhibition for some reason. Instead I saw the installation that was on the ground floor (at the yard) of the museum, an exhibition of cartoonists' sketches, with the topic being the hard times my country is going through. I found the sketches to be very smart and to the point. My favorite was the one I'm pointing at in the picture below, showing the E.U. as a skinny cow and Greece being it's breasts. I believe most Greeks feel like we're being "milked" nowadays, don't we? And the worst part is that there's hardly any milk left!!!

Anyway, afterwards I found a very cute park nearby and took some outfit pics. On the way home I passed by a church fair. I love fairs, there's something very kitschy cult about them! And they also remind me of my childhood, when grandma used to take me and my brother to the church and treated us to some toys or candy from the fair afterwards. I miss those careless and happy days...

The poncho and the hat made me feel like I was a character in a spaghetti Western and I have no idea how I came up with such an outfit in this cold! My beloved photographer (brother) was available today and he took my outfit pics, so please excuse me for the picture-heavy post, but I wanted to post them all! I was wearing a brown sweater underneath the poncho, with a lovely brown-teal necklace, but it was so freakin cold that I couldn’t take off the poncho (teeth chattering situation!).

I bought this maxi skirt a while ago and haven’t worn it since, don’t know why! I discovered it’s very versatile and can be worn in a number of ways and seasons. I think I’ll enjoy it a lot this spring! It has the right amount of elasticity so you don’t have to walk like a geisha and it’s very slimming (although bold or animal prints usually aren’t).
Today I had planned a few things but unfortunately nothing worked out. It doesn’t matter though because I took the time to gather a few of my make up looks (from the blog) and make a video for my youtube channel. You can see the video HERE

How do you feel about maxi skirts? Is it a trend you intend to embrace?

I’ve worn this dress once before in another post, but it was styled in a totally different way. Tonight I was in a more dark and edgy mood so I decided to put together a total black outfit, with dark lips. I’m wearing the shoes that don’t fit me (remember when I told you they turned out to be a size smaller?), for which I didn’t get a refund after all so I’m not buying from that retailer ever again! At least I can wear them for my blog every once in a while so it’s not a total loss.
Also, I’m wearing a pair of lace leggings that I bought a couple of years ago to wear when I go tango dancing. The dress code in Milongas (events where you dance and listen to Tango Argentino) involves dresses or skirts with leggings and tango shoes and the styling is very vampish and retro. I love it!

The following week is going to be extremely busy for me and I apologize in advance if it will take me a while to answer to your comments, but please know that I appreciate every single one!

OK, sometimes I make up some silly titles, I know! But I don’t have any inspiration at the moment and I do have to leave in a few minutes so that was the best I could do.
The pics on the other hand have improved. They usually do over the weekend when my brother shoots them with his pro camera (one of many!).
The tights I’m wearing here you won’t be seeing them again, because after the shoot I accidentally ripped them with my ring! Unless I’m sporting the ripped tights trend...

I’m trying to find cheap opaque tights without lycra (or without the effect of it like in these pics). Can you recommend any retailers?

I decided against another “New shoes part ...” title, because it’s getting boring and eventually I’m going to lose count! These babies arrived 2 days ago along with a gorgeous animal print maxi skirt that I can’t wait to wear (and show you!). There was a sale at Miss Selfridge and I had my eye on these for some time so I grabbed them without a second thought. And I’m glad I did. They run a bit big but I fixed that with insoles. I haven’t measured their platform but I feel super tall when I wear them. Sometimes it’s not so bad to have a normal height because you can wear sky-high heels and still look like a woman (and not a basket ball player!).
The blazer I’m wearing is old, made by my uncle who used to be a tailor. I love the lining of the sleeves, it’s perfect for rolling them up!
And the bag, you’ll see me wearing it a lot this winter. It’s so practical. I used to hate the cross body bags, but I was so wrong. They’re lovely!

Sweater: Zara
Blazer: old (tailored)
Jeans: 7 Seven for all mankind
Socks: Jumbo ( a cheap Greek chain store)
Shoes: Miss Selfridge
Bag: H&M

Face: Korres watermelon oil free tinted moisturizer SPF 30, Nivea perfect cover concealer, Mac mineralize skin finish natural
Eyes: just some mascara (Stila major lash mascara in brown) (same as yesterday)
Cheeks: Elf contouring blush and bronzing powder
Lips: Exclusive elegance double lipgloss

What do you think about my new wedges?
