Change of plans!

Yesterday I was supposed to go to the first day of AXDW (Athens Exclusive Designers Week). I had my outfit already planned in my head, an early appointment at the hairdresser and as soon as I would be back from a work related thing, I would be off to the shows. But...you can’t always plan ahead. Not when work is involved. Bummer! And I really wanted to go, especially on Saturday. And my hair was looking so lovely... :(
Anyway, as it seems I’m not going to make it to any of the shows, because work always comes first, doesn’t it?!

Sheer up!

I bought this lovely sheer blouse a couple of months ago and I was looking for an opportunity to wear it but feared I would feel too cold in it. Today I finally wore it and with the coat on top I didn’t feel cold at all.
I picked up something from the post office which was a lovely faux fur vest I had ordered a few days ago. You’ll see me wearing it pretty soon...
I also finally found the “leather look” leggings I have been looking for. I found them at Calzedonia and bought them without a second thought! Can’t wait to take these babies out!

The next day!

Second day of Christmas and I still feel stuffed from all the food I consumed yesterday. I even had trouble sleeping (and saw very peculiar dreams, due to indigestion I’m sure!). I must admit that I had a great difficulty preparing this post because I didn’t feel like getting off the couch at all. Don’t you have one of those days too every once in a while?
I also saw a lovely movie earlier, “Heartbraker” with Vanessa Paradis. She’s so pretty and classy. They make a very cute couple with Johnny Depp. The movie was nice and funny, but I didn’t like the actor (who played the Heartbraker) so much. Couldn’t they cast a better looking man? I’d never leave a boyfriend for that guy!

Day 77 - Wedgy wedgy!

I decided against another “New shoes part ...” title, because it’s getting boring and eventually I’m going to lose count! These babies arrived 2 days ago along with a gorgeous animal print maxi skirt that I can’t wait to wear (and show you!). There was a sale at Miss Selfridge and I had my eye on these for some time so I grabbed them without a second thought. And I’m glad I did. They run a bit big but I fixed that with insoles. I haven’t measured their platform but I feel super tall when I wear them. Sometimes it’s not so bad to have a normal height because you can wear sky-high heels and still look like a woman (and not a basket ball player!).
The blazer I’m wearing is old, made by my uncle who used to be a tailor. I love the lining of the sleeves, it’s perfect for rolling them up!
And the bag, you’ll see me wearing it a lot this winter. It’s so practical. I used to hate the cross body bags, but I was so wrong. They’re lovely!

Day 68 - Something old and something new!

In this outfit I’m wearing two favorites: an old military style coat and my new Pinko bag (that I bought from the Fashion Bazaar on Saturday). The coat is an old piece my mom bought several years ago, but still in fashion and in impeccable condition. I love the color and the fit!
The bag is by Pinko and I got it super cheap at the fashion Bazaar. You may not be able to see it so well here, but it has some beautiful embellished brooches pined on it, the “Pinko bag” logo and some stars as decorations. It’s not real leather but it’s so cute and carries a lot of stuff. I plan to carry this bag a lot this winter so you will get to see it better in other posts!
