Yesterday I went to Benaki Museum with the intention of seeing "Aesop's Fables", an exhibition of contemporary paintings and engravings (inspired by the fables). But I didn't actually get to see the exhibition for some reason. Instead I saw the installation that was on the ground floor (at the yard) of the museum, an exhibition of cartoonists' sketches, with the topic being the hard times my country is going through. I found the sketches to be very smart and to the point. My favorite was the one I'm pointing at in the picture below, showing the E.U. as a skinny cow and Greece being it's breasts. I believe most Greeks feel like we're being "milked" nowadays, don't we? And the worst part is that there's hardly any milk left!!!

Anyway, afterwards I found a very cute park nearby and took some outfit pics. On the way home I passed by a church fair. I love fairs, there's something very kitschy cult about them! And they also remind me of my childhood, when grandma used to take me and my brother to the church and treated us to some toys or candy from the fair afterwards. I miss those careless and happy days...

P.S.: The title is taken from the lyrics of "Milk", a song by Garbage (I thought it was very appropriate for this post)!

Some people don’t like Sundays. Maybe it’s because it’s the last day of the weekend and we know we’ll be working the next day. But I do like Sundays, especially when the weather is warm and sunny and I get to out to eat by the sea and then chill out at a café. I stupidly forgot to take my camera with me but I managed to have a couple of photos taken with my i-phone. The only thing I didn’t like is how crowded all the cafés were and the extremely loud music. I mean, I’m by the sea, drinking my cappuccino freddo, I’d prefer some nice lounge music instead of all those mainstream beats played aloud. If I want to dance I’ll go to a club and not to a café, right?!

The correct title would be “New in”, but I thought I’d change it a bit since I have been making some purchases lately and I don’t want to use the same title over and over again. My excuse is: I’m a shopaholic (who me? naaa!).
OK, I have a better excuse: early birthday presents...to myself!
So I finally got around to buying a new pair of sunnies. Over the past few years my sunglasses were constantly getting smashed (a total of 3 lovely pairs ruined, and not by me!), which has left me with only one pair, my Rayban aviators that you’ve seen me wearing many times. At last I decided to “cast out the evil” that’s been haunting my poor sunglasses and buy a new pair. I really hope these ones will have a better fate. Knock on wood!
Anyway, I wanted a pair of Wayfarers for a while now and so I got this pair from the “Rare prints” collection, which has a black frame with a super cute button pins print on the inside. I absolutely adore them. I will take some close up photos and post them tomorrow.

Lips: NYX lipstick in Indian pink

I have a crafty/DIY question: these over-the-knee socks are too tight on my legs (the elastic part). Do you think I could cut the elastic band? But then I don’t know what will hold them in place. Have you had this problem with over-the-knee socks?

Not exactly new since you’ve seen me wearing these jeans here, but I didn’t properly introduce them to you then, so I might as well do it now. I’ve been given this pair of jeans as a gift, which I was very happy to receive. Their cut is something between a bootcut and a flare, and that makes them very versatile and does not constrict you to wear them in a certain way (as for example with the flares/bel bottoms, where a 70’s or bohemian styling is more appropriate) . I paired them with a new knit sweater that I got in sales, which is very warm and I love it’s lovely electric blue color.

I needed to have the jeans shortened but I made the mistake of wearing them with shoes with a much smaller heel and they came out too short for my liking. So I unstiched the hem and now they’re much better. Although I wouldn’t mind a few more centimeters, but it has already been cut! :(

I don’t know if that expression actually means anything, but it was the effect I used on the first photo (when editing) and it seemed kinda cool to use as a title.
The Athens Exclusive Designers Week is coming up and I can’t wait. I don’t think I will be able to attend every single show, but I’ll definitely be there on Saturday and Monday. So if any of you are planning to be there, email me and we can meet up.

It was definitely NOT a good day to wear shorts, but I did anyway. Needless to say that my legs were shivering from the cold (as well as the rest of my body parts)!
It’s the second time I’m wearing my Office boots and although their heel is very high and quite thin, they feel very comfortable and are easy to walk in. But I will have to replace their heel taps because they make so much noise and they feel a bit flimsy...

No question tonight. I would just like to thank you for your helpful advice and comments on my “Penguin chic” post and tell you that I already feel much better and that my “appetite” for blog reading and posting has returned! And it’s good to know that if I miss a day you’ll understand...

These were purchased a few weeks ago along with the peep toe black ankle boots you saw me wearing here. They arrived with the zip handle missing from one of them. So I took them to a shoe maker and replaced the zippers, while Office refunded me for the 20% of the value. If I had returned them I would get a full refund, but I liked them so much that I decided to keep them.
I had my eye on this type of boots for some time. I love the design where the laces start from almost at the tip of the shoes. They remind me of Ice skates (you know, the boots with the blades!) and I love ice skating, although I haven’t done any since my childhood. I’d love to try it again sometime and hope I won’t fall flat on my face!

My eye make up wasn’t something special today, so I didn’t take any pictures. The weather got cold and gloomy again and I hate that. Oh, spring, where art thou?!

Last night I went for drinks with A. and his friends and everything was lovely apart from the rain, which took us by surprise and was not what I had in mind when I wore my new peep toe ankle booties! The mere thought of all this filthy water getting inside my shoes, eeewwww!
I also went shopping the same morning (sales officially begun yesterday) and got some lovely things, although I didn’t find everything I wanted. The shops were packed with people and I hate that. I need peace and quiet when I go shopping, sometimes I don’t even want the sales people to bother me. Well, tomorrow I may visit some shops to get the rest of the things I need (need, want, got to have, well what’s the difference?!).

A snack served with our drinks. Personally, I prefer the more fattening choices like chips or nuts!

When you go shopping do you make a list or just buy whatever catches your eye?

Black is not considered a color but I think when there is such a strong contrast like with black and red, then it can be considered as color too. I’m blogging late today cause I was out for most of the day, and I haven’t replied to my previous post’s comments yet, but I’m going to as soon as I post this. I really can’t thank you enough for all the lovely comments you leave me everyday. It means so much to me that you take the time to visit my blog and say something nice!
